4Children Parent Guide

Posted 8/5/2015

4Children (supported by The Department for Education) have released a Parent/Carer Guide to the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) to enable you to understand how your child is learning and developing within their first five years, in relation to the EYFS.

Here is a Link to this useful pack for Parent and Carers.

Introducing Online Learning Journeys: EY-Log

Posted 25/6/2014

EY-Log is the new online software that we are now using to produce childrens' learning journeys.

In our opinion, the application not only permits a richer learning journey than its paper equivalent, but also offers a more secure way to record and share these learning journeys with parents.

At present we are trialling the software but hope to have this up and running for all children by the beginning of July.

The eyLog website; https://eylog.co.uk has more information aswell as a list of FAQs.

Please ask staff about this new software or have a look on the eyLog website to find out more about this exciting development.

Our Open Day

Posted 29/7/2013

It hard to believe that just under 8 weeks ago we got the keys to an empty office building. After sitting empty for two years, it was looking a little tired. It is amazing the transformation this building has seen. We have all worked so hard, had a few tears, gained a few bruises, got a few grey hairs, forgotten hoe to eat and sleep properly, but we did it. Today was our first day of opening! I am so proud of what we have achieved. We welcomed some new children to The Big Top family today, and hope to meet many more.
