The Big Top Nursery in Waddesdon is currently looking for a Room Coordinator to join our friendly team. The position is based within our Big Tops Room which caters for children aged 2-3 years.
Your role as Room Coordinator includes:
working with and supporting the Room Leader and Preschool Room Coordinator
supervise, support and lead the team in the room leaders absence.
liaise with and support parents, carers and other childcare professionals providing information as appropriate under the guidance of the manager.
show potential new families around the setting during viewings.
work alongside the manager and staff team to ensure that the nursery's philosophy is fulfilled.
to mentor team members
To ensure the smooth and efficient running of the room.
Having a sound understanding of a child's developmental requirements and to provide a range of stimulating learning experiences designed to meet each child's individual needs.
You must have:
a genuine desire to care for children in a safe and stimulating environment.
a minimum of 2 years experience in a nursery after qualifying.
an understanding of the EYFS
an awareness of planning, observing and record keeping procedures
an understanding of nursery safeguarding polices and procedures.
experience of leading a team.
The role is full time Monday-Friday 40 hours a week on a rotating shift pattern of 7:15-4:30 and 9:00-6:00.
Qualified Early Years Practitioner
We are currently looking for a Qualified Early Years Practitioner to join our Baby and Toddler Room.
Your role will include:
maintaining professional and respectful relationships at all times whist working as part of a team.
be committed to quality teaching and learning, formulating and operating a programme of activities suitable to the age range of children.
creating a warm and welcoming environment.
being a key person to a group of key children, liasing with parents and giving a detailed account of the child's day.
contributing to planning.
Implementing systems of obervation and record keeping
working to provide and mantain a safe, inclusive, supportive, exciting environment for young children to learn and thrive in.
Having a high awareness of safeguarding and child protection
promoting childrens Personal Social and Emotional, Communiation and Language and Physical Development.
The role is full time Monday-Friday 40 hours a week with various shift patterns.
